PREPARE FOR TODAYS GLOBAL DANCE INDUSTRY
Our goal is to assist you in developing your artistry to a professional and employable level. We’ll teach you how to use your talent and your skills for working in today’s’ global dance industry. Train to master your technique while you learn what it means to be a company dancer and a commercial dancer. You will also acquire the business knowledge needed to be successful as a self-employed artist.
DURATION
The Industry Dance Training Program of Vancouver is a 10 month commitment and offers training 20 hours per week during a 4 day week.
WEEKLY WORKSHOPS
Each week you will have access to dance industry experts exposing you to a new sector of the dance world with our weekly workshops.
DANCE INDUSTRY PROFESSIONAL CAREER DEVELOPMENT
During this 10 month program professional dance training program, you will you have access to industry dance professionals that will assist you in developing skills in teaching, choreography, contact improvisation, forming a dance company or collective, grant writing, auditioning and selecting an agent. Opportunities for apprenticing will be made available.
THE DANCE TRAINING
Advanced professional training with a focus’ on Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop, as well as, the creation and performance of a full length piece.

GETTING IN – INDUSTRY DANCE TRAINING PROGRAM OF VANCOUVER IS NOW AUDITIONING FOR 2011/12
Interested applicants must audition in person or by DVD.
DVD submissions require an application form and the following:
1. Brief introduction by you
2. Contemporary Technique:
-2 floor warm up exercises
-Plies and Battement Tondues
-Rond de Jambes and Extensions
-Turns and Ballet Pirouettes
-Jumps
3. Improvisation – 1min
4. Choreography – 1 min
The audition DVD should be done in a leotard and tights with bare feet.

FEES
2012/2013 Program Fees (September-June): $550.00 per month.
Full payment or quarterly payment options are available.
HOME STAY OPPORTUNITIES
Industry Dance Training Program of Vancouver assists international or out of area students with Home Stay options.
We offer two Home Stay options, our 4 day option where students return home after school on Friday and
return Monday or our 7 day option where students board full time (excluding holidays). Please contact us
