INDUSTRY DANCE TRAINING PROGRAM OF VANCOUVER – Professional Dance Training Program In Vancouver
Under the Direction of Miranda Widgery-Webber, the Industry Dance Training Program of Vancouver assists you in developing your artistry to a professional and employable level. We’ll teach you how to use your talent and your skills for working in today’s’ global dance industry.
During this 10 month, 20 hour per week professional dance training program, you will take weekly technique classes in Ballet, Contemporary, Urban Styles, Contemporary Jazz, Modern and Circus (Aerial, Silks, Hoop, Trapeze and Ground Work). Students have access to industry professionals that will assist them in developing skills in choreography, contact improvisation, forming a dance company or collective, grant writing, auditioning, teaching and knowing the business of dance. Throughout the year, students learn choreography from Josh Beamish MOVE: the company www.movethecompany.com, Amber Funk Barton from The Response responsedance.blogspot.com, The Contingency Plan www.contingencyplan.ca and a Robert Battle Alvin Ailey II piece set by Robert Brent Halley www.alvinailey.org
